Termites, ants, bees and all kind of bugs you don’t want anywhere near your house are trying to make their way in right now.
We can thank a hard winter followed by a big weather turnaround for that.
Pill bugs, ants, millipedes, centipedes. Anything you can imagine that are the creepy crawlers that are out there. They’re starting to really multiply.
Wood eating termites and the helicopter sounding carpenter bees do cause major damage.
They actually drill a hole and make a 90-degree turn and they hollow it out and they’ll lay their eggs in there for next year.
The integrity of the wood is being compromised and in the termites’ case, they’re actually hollowing out where the strength is in that wood and replacing it with just simple mud.
The warm weather is bringing the bugs out of hiding, and keeping homeowners busy. It’s a never-ending war on bugs.
To keep the bugs out use caulk on any openings or cracks in your home. Also, don’t leave dirty dishes around. And, be sure to clean your kitchen counters and seal up any sugar or candies you may have lying out to keep the ants out of the kitchen.
