We always joke in the office about being able to write a book with all the funny stories we have. The pest control industry is certainly never short on content! Let me add a chapter to our book…………
I was performing an inspection for pests and I did uncover some mice activity and droppings in the basement of the house. It was just a minor pest issue but when the customer said he saw large droppings in the living room upstairs I was surprised. There was no evidence of any other pest problems but did I miss something? When I asked the customer to describe the droppings he said it was large like from a wild animal. Really I said to myself. This now has my curiousity peaking since my inspection found nothing other than mice and they have no pets. The homeowner instructed me to look under the couch and I found what looked like a sizable dropping. Upon further examination I realized I was looking at a dried up breakfast link sausage. When I told the customer he asked, “How the heck did that get under there???!!!” That I could not answer but I did know that we do not perform any treatments for breakfast meat.
